When the moonflower closes up, it creates a beautiful spiral twist. Sometimes not all of the flower folds neatly inside; crinkled pieces may extend out. The rough texture of the stray bits of bloom contrasts with the smooth twisted body. The work reminds me of the benefits of slowing down and paying attention to nature.
